    Steelers Top 2 NFL plays of the decade

    Play #1!! Harrison 100 yard interception return in the Superbowl

    Play #4 - Holmes Superbowl TD catch

    (Play #2 I think was Tyree catch in the Superbowl)

    Wooo!

    (This was announced at the half time of the Chargers game tonight).


    We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

    That's awesome, and I believe they got it right. Although selfishly, I think that Ben's throw and tone's catch shoulda been higher than Tyrie's. Every aspect of that screams "the catch" to me.

    How do you keep the Bettis fumble and ensuing return with "The tackle" included off of that list? It may not be exciting like some of the others, but, man it went a long way to determining the SB champ that year. There were a couple stinkers in that list as far as I'm concerned.

    They had to have something for every day Pap, so they did "top ten moments", "top ten plays", "top ten games" and a few others I can't think of right now.

    I think Ben's tackles made one of their lists.

    This was on NFLN Total Access.

    Edit to add: I thought they did miss out on one for "top ten moments of the decade" though. How they didn't include Bettis announcing his retirement on the podium at the Super Bowl as he's holding the Lombardi is beyond me.

    I'd be interested in knowing how they parse the difference between a top ten "moment" and a top ten "play"!!

    It seems to me that Bettis announcing his retirement after the SB would be a moment, whereas "the catch" would be a play. That's how I see it anyway.

    I'm sorry... I'm a Steeler fan... and I LOVED the Harrison play when it happened... (I was too nervous to enjoy Santonio's play )

    But I gotta give Tyree the nod. To forever have that memory burned into the Cheaters* minds, their fans*, etc. = PRICELESS (That's like eternal scoreboard on those f-cks.)

    The Harrison return was sweet, but the David Tyree catch was just unreal. And not just the play, but the circumstances. That play came in the 4th quarter where it was do-or-die, no second half to come back.

    Tyree's catch was unreal?...BS - Harrison's interception return was unreal! The circumstance, the slow development of the return, the fact that it seemed every Cardinal in uniform had a chance to tackle him (or at least push him out), & down to that last lunge where he lands on Fitzgerald for the TD. In my 30 plus years of watching football, I have NEVER seen so exciting a play or been so emotionally wiped out afterwards - I felt like it lasted forever & like me & my entire party ran it with him. It is quite simply the greatest play in SB history.

    I'll toss another one into the mix...how about Randle El's TD to Hines in SBXL? It was executed to perfection & the sheer joy of Hines skipping into the endzone was as joyous a moment as I've experienced in all my years of following the Steelers.
