Re: Rip Arians? It still boils down to execution

Funny that article doesn't mention that normally Ben calls the plays when going no huddle, but against Cincy, Arians informed Ben that he would be calling the plays during the final drive. You know, the one where we went 4 and out without picking up a yard.

If we run the ball 10 times in a row up the middle vs. Ray Lewis and company and we don't gain a yard......is it execution we should blame or stupidity for thinking it is a good idea cause Bruce Arians called it?

I still think Arians is a crappy OC whether Ron Cook (funny his opinion holds more weight even though he doesn't have a job in the NFL) tells me he isn't or not.

The lost can be very easily split between Ben and Arians. Neither one seemed to come up with a solution last Sunday.
So far in this game, Ben is taking advantage of the underneath stuff, completing passes to Mendenhall, Parker, D.J. Johnson, Heath, etc.

The two TD's we score in the redzone both come off of Ben improvising.

How about that third and two call in OT?

It's about execution, alright...Arians is going to get executed if they don't get him out of Pittsburgh...
Franchise Bell; extend Brown; re-sign Harrison, D. Williams, and Matthews; sign the best of the available 2nd-tier FA help at Edge, ILB, CB, and maybe FS. Hope that Ladarius Green is healthy.

    Draft 2.0
    1. Haason Reddick, ILB/OLB, Temple
    2. Carl Lawson, OLB/DE, Auburn
    3. Chad Hansen, WR, California
    3. Damontae Kazee, CB, San Diego State
    4. Ahkello Witherspoon, CB, Colorado
    5. Tedric Thompson, FS, Colorado
    6. Aaron Jones, RB, UTEP
    7. Keion Adams, OLB/DE, Western Michigan
