Tight end David Johnson, a seventh-round draft pick, has agreed to a three-year contract with the Steelers, the team said today.
Johnson, 6-2 and 260 pounds, caught 45 passes for 760 yards and nine touchdowns while at Arkansas State.
The Steelers have signed seven of their nine draft picks, leaving defensive end Ziggy Hood, a first-round pick, and offensive lineman Kraig Urbik, a third-round pick, yet to sign.
The team report2 to training camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe on July 31.

Steelers sign three draft picks

The Steelers signed three more draft choices today, including their third overall pick, wide receiver Mike Wallace.
Wallace along with defensive lineman Sonny Harris and center A.Q. Shipley all came to terms on three-year contracts.
Each will receive annual minimum salaries of $310,000 in 2009, $395,000 in 2010 and $480,000 in 2011. In addition, Wallace received a signing bonus of $555,000, Harris one of $64,000 and Shipley, a Moon native, one for $42,000.
The Steelers now have six draft picks under contract.
