Prior to game 7, Rome said no way - no how do the Pens win game 7 in Detroit, going on to pan the Pens and laud the Wings. Cocky loudmouth.

I watched him today (Monday) to see if he would own up. No mention of the Stanley Cup, game 7, Pens or Wings. No way, no how did he mention them. He did not own up, instead avoided it entirely. Cowardly wuss.

He's willing to "burn" on others, how about self-immolating ???

I feel bad for the guys on ESPU that actually have a take and do not suck (i.e. Buccigross).

Jim Rome is like the rest of them...sucking up to the Brett Favre, New England Patriot, New York Yankee/Boston Red Sox version of ESPU. I used to listen to Rome all the time. But, as his tenure has lengthened at ESPU, his knowledge of sports has shrunk...typical of ESPU and almost anyone who comes into contact with the network.

If you want any sort of logical hockey coverage on TV, NHL Network is virtually the only place to go. Otherwise, you're surfing the web.

Rome is an embarrassment to broadcasting and doesn't contribute much more than fluff to the sports world.
