Stupid is as stupid says. I will guarantee you that McLain will never ever be in consideration for the Hall of Fame. Bettis will be a first ballot inductee. Just Baltimorons once again wishing they could be more like the Steelers.

We get just as much nonsense in a two page thread here, maybe more. The end of the thread was a more interesting discussion about Lewis' chances of making it into the HOF. It was a very reasonable discussion with many thinking that he falls a bit short unless there is a weak class.

I have to agree with you t.o. -- I'm sure we can find a thread around here comparing Frank Summers to Bettis and Summers hasn't even taken a snap in the NFL. I think we all know it will be awhile before someone can claim to be the next Bettis. The quickness and nimbleness, especially in his younger days, of a man that size is a rare trait.

One post mentioned he was Bettis-like and a second mentioned Bettis' quick feet and foot speed in his youth. The discussion centered around McClain and Jamal Lewis and Lewis' potential for HOF numbers.
