With the Caps eliminating the Rangers in game 7 and the Canes eliminating the Devils in game 7 (bad night to be a hockey fan in the NYC Metro area), we will now face Washington in the Conference Semifinals.

This should be an absolute bloodbath. These players hate each other. It's not just a modest dislike either. It's genuine hate. Semin hates Crosby. Crosby hates Ovechkin. Ovechkin hates Malkin. And so it goes. I'm sure by the end of it, Bylsma will want to punch Boudreau in the face. There was plenty of hate to go around in when the Steelers faced the Ravens in the playoffs, but that was just one game, and it was over in a little more than 3 hours. These guys will keep coming at each other again and again over a week-and-a-half's time until one team ultimately rips the heart out of the other by claiming a 4th victory. Put the kids to bed early for these games to spare them from witnessing the raw, unbridled carnage. Even if you aren't a hockey fan, consider watching these games. If the intensity of this series does not make you a hockey convert, I doubt that anything could.
