Nate dropped some passes in some key moments but not nearly as many as some of you folks would like to make people think he did.

I don't think Nate was a super star by any means, but he was a lot better than some people give him credit for and that kind of irks me I guess.

And he may have done a bit of show boating from time to time but I don't recall ever hearing about him causing problems or being in trouble with the law.

I was as hard as anyone on him, but the guy was a contributor throughout his time here. He may have killed a few more drives than I would have liked, but he was an UDFA who worked his way onto a SB team.

I wish him well except when he is playing the Steelers.

Good for Nate. Thats life changing money, can't blame him for taking it. He just went from a UDFA to setting himself up for life.

I am also excited to see what Sweed can do this year. I expect him to put up at least the same numbers next year that Nate did this year.

And, coincidentally, Yancey was also signed away from us by Tennessee. And the money was essentially the same per year (5 year $21.5 million vs. 6 year $27 million). Of course, a decade ago when Thigpen left, his deal was the richest ever for a WR in NFL history at that time.
