The ONLY consolation I have after yesterday's debacle is
that I haven't heard Ben defending the O-line today.
I hope he goes back, looks at film and throws some harsh
looks their way...them and the O-line coach, whoeverinthellthatis...
Well, that and the patsies got their asc kicked by an underdog
if there ever was one...consolation number two...
Here is a quote from Philly's DC, Jim Johnson from todays Philly newspaper.
I wonder what they (Steelers) are showing? Formations. etc.
"They're a good defense," he said. "They brought guys from all over the place and did a good job. We've got to give them credit."
After barely blitzing against the Cowboys, Johnson said he saw things in the Steelers that made blitzing early and often possible.
"It just happened to be one of those days where we just kept coming," Johnson said. "It was one of those tight games."

Bad game. Won't be the last one this season. OL did not do well, but if we had spent our first 3 picks on OL it would not have changed a thing and it may have been worse. The Eagle were sending 5-7 on every play and the receivers were not getting open. Drafting rookies in the off season would not have resulted in anything different.
The goods from the game:
1. The defense is good. Our offense does nothing all day and the Eagles can't get more than a TD and two field goals.
2. Troy and B Mac were good--2 more INTs
3. 3 more sacks and the start of the McNabb injury parade
4. <70 yards rushing allowed. I'll take that every game.
As grim as it looked it wasn't until the last 5 minutes that the game was out of reach. I choose to focus on that.
The really good news is I predicted the Steelers would be 2-1 at this point of the season and they are. Geez ain't I smart.

Should Ben have been sacked 34 times? No, but....
It was a good game between two good teams.
This time the eagles came out on top, it happens....
This is about as rosy a picture that can be painted.Originally Posted by Jigawatts

One game. Move on.

I felt the same way. I thought the only way to win was a defensive touchdown orOriginally Posted by papillon
some last minute Roethlisberger magic. The kind of stuff you see when we can't
move the ball all day, but some how at the end he finds a way.
But, since Ben didn't get to finish the game...

Trust me...with Arians at the helm of the Offensive playcalling, this will add up at the end of the season. He will lose an average of 3 to 4 games for us all by himself. As long as he is a part of the Steelers Organization, no way do we get to the Super Bowl, let alone win one.Originally Posted by Oviedo
