My all-Steeler fan band back in action next month!

Football season is here, so what better way to celebrate then with some good pre-game music? My band Mach Five, featuring yours truly on guitar and vocals, plays a wide range of songs from the 80s, 90s, and today. And the best part...every member is a Steeler fan! No Clowns or Bungles fans allowed here!

Anyway, after some time off in the summer, we are back in action next month. Our first of two shows will be Sunday, October 5th, at the Taste of Grandview Heights in McKinley Field Park. We play from 5-6:30 PM. For our second show, we are returning to play at the Columbus Marathon on Sunday, October 19th. We're not sure where we'll be playing yet, but more than likely somewhere near the middle of the race. More details forthcoming. Both shows will get you home in plenty of time for that day's Steeler game.

You can find out more information about our shows, the band, book us for your next event, or whatever you need at our web site here:

Hope to see some of you out there!

So which one were you in the photo?.... And why aren't you all wearing Steelers jerseys?

Disregard that question... After looking at the pics, I saw you with a Ben jersey on, as well as a "champs" T....

    ... Seriously though, pretty cool....

I like the Michigan shirt...how's that go over in Columbus?

Btw, just a little fix for your website:

    Columbus's should be Columbus'.

Like anything Michigan I wear, with distain, but it's fun to wear your colors in enemy territory.

As far as college ball in our band goes, I was born and raised north of Detroit, so that's where U of M came from, as well as family and friends that are fans and attended. A friend of mine played in the marching band in the mid 90s and went back later for his Masters when they won the National Championship. Got to meet Rich Leach and a bunch of other former Wolverines. Our bassist went to Notre Dame (getting him to go watch Bettis in 2003 helped get his start on the right path). Drummer's from Butler, PA, so he's a Penn State fan (Slippery Rock grad). Keyboardist is the only tOSU alum. But when it comes to Sundays, it's Black and Gold time!

Like the Bus and half of Colbert's free agent signees, I see you have successfully made the Detroit-to-Pittsburgh transition.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Bump as the event is Sunday. Hope to see some of you there. We're actually going to be introduced by Mix 97.1 before we play. Very cool! Should be the biggest show we play this year.

Well, the show went well! Had great weather, nice crowd, good performance overall. Pictures are on our web site for those that are interested. Of course, the icing on the cake was the Steelers winning that night, so who could ask for more?
