Is NE out of contention for the playoffs?

If Brady is confirmed to be gone for the season, does this mean the Pats are going the way of recent Super Bowl losers and missing the playoffs?

What is the over/under on Pats losses before Randy Moss throws a tantrum or otherwise hurts his teams chances even further?

    To answer my own questions...
I would say the Pats go on a mini-losing streak, struggling back to form in time to make .500 by the end of the season. No playoffs as the Bills win their division and the Jets also vault ahead.

Randy turns into evil-Randy after 3 losses or about week 5.

    They are a good team.
That said, screw the *'s who really cares about them?
Do agree with your assessment though, especially about the Moss part.

I've always said that the Pats (and especially Belichick) were nothing without Brady. I guess we'll have to wait and see. But I suspect they will be lucky to be a .500 team this year.

Belichick's team without Brady = 1991-1995 Cleveland Browns.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I think it is more like Belichick is nothing without cheating.
