    Panthers v Steelers: PSEUDO-GAMEDAY thread

...Alright, I'm calling it a "pseudo-gameday" thread because I will not be able to watch the game tonight... Have I recently said how much I hate the fact that Directv doesn't do the pre-season games? Man, I can't wait till the regular season starts, and this is one of the reasons... Anyway, there's no reason NOT to have one location to discuss tonights' game... Anyone that actually gets to watch the game may feel free to take over this thread and keep it rolling tonight... So please do so...

Tomlin said the starting offense and defense will play the first quarter. ... Strong safety Troy Polamalu will see his first game action after missing training camp with a hamstring injury. ... Lawrence Timmons will start at inside linebacker in place of injured Larry Foote. ... Center Justin Hartwig, named the starter by Tomlin earlier this week, was Carolina's starting center in 2007. The Panthers released him in the offseason in a salary cap-related move.

Woodleigh? That's one guy I wouldn't want to tick that guy off by misspelling his name.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
