The Baltimore Ravens are expected to sign four-time Pro Bowl fullback Lorenzo Neal on Tuesday.

Neal, a 15-year veteran, passed a physical with the team Tuesday morning.

One of the game's best blocking fullbacks, Neal spent his last five seasons with the San Diego Chargers, where he paved the way for LaDainian Tomlinson. The veteran has blocked for a 1,000-yard rusher in 11 straight seasons.

Last season, the 37-year-old Neal missed the final three regular-season games and postseason with a fractured right fibula.

With McGahee having surgery on his knee, I think they want to make this dinosaur into the main man until W.M. comes back. If he comes back, I wonder if it's the same knee he shredded a few years ago.

They drafted Rice so I suspect with the void at QB and a young O line Harbaugh is thinking a power running game may help their offense...easier to run block than pass block being the idea.

I don't know how effective Neal will be, but in his prime I think he was one of the best. I always liked the guy too...it's a shame he's putting on one of the ugliest uniforms in the league.

As for Willis' knee...I'm not sure if it is the same one. Hopefully someone else can fill us in on that.
