I certainly missed it ... but that's great. It makes me feel a little better about the pick.
I missed it too...but what I didn't miss was him getting smacked my the speed rush.

McDougle did what a high caliber player is supposed to do and beat our 2nd and 3rd stringers on almost every play.
He made Starks look like he belongs with the backups as well.

I don't know if this has been said, but special teams looked pretty good, too. I know this is preseason, but I saw them making tackles, not giving up a ton of yards, and Jeff Reed nailing a 50 yarder was pretty impressive. Drummon did alright, I still wish we had Sepulveda, though.

On a different note, it was good to see McDougle out there to be quiet honest. If anyone remembers he was shot in the stomach in an attempted carjacking some time ago and he has just been riddled with injuries since coming into the league.

Some would argue that he's already there(myself included.)

They are supposedly competing for the RT spot but it appears Starks will end up being our backup at LT. He sucks at RT.

Some of us said that last season. He looks better on the left. This shouldn't be a surprise he actually held his own when he started at LT.

I saw McDougle beat Starks exactly once. The rest of the time Max held his own in protection and shoved him around like a little school girl in the running game. I haven't gone back and looked at the game a second time, so maybe I missed something, but I was paying attention to him on most snaps.

"I hate him. Everybody says I'm supposed to be polite when I talk to you all, but I hate him..." "He talks too much, he doesn't make sense, he's fat, he's sloppy, he acts like he's the best thing since sliced bread. He's ugly, he stinks, his mouth stinks, his breath stinks, and basically his soul stinks, too.

"Not too many people have personalities like that and survive in life. I don't know how he does it."

I'll admit I was trying to watch several different players at the same time. I saw Max get beat badly by McDougle on one play but McDougle seemed to be tormenting Hills on the other side most of the night.

Then again those former Gators are always getting beat... :P

i have a really stupid question. how is it that a guy can play on the left side of the o-line but has more problems on the right at the same position? i dont get it, its not like it matters if a guy is right or left handed. i know the significance of protecting the qb's blind side, but it seems to me if you can play on one side than you should be able to play on the oter. btw i agree starks does look better at LT
