Seniors who could earn accolades this year

Here's a few... Feel free to add to the list...

    James Laurinaitis, LB, Ohio State
    6'3" 240 lbs
Laurinaitis bypassed the chance to become a top pick in the draft for another run at the national title. He is equally skilled at playing the run (121 tackles last year), rushing the passer (5 sacks last year), and defending against the pass (7 career ints).

    Duke Robinson, OL, Oklahoma
    6'5" 346 lbs
A concensus All-American, Robinson physically dominates opponents with size. He was the leader of a line that allowed only 14 sacks and cleared the way for 3 backs to run for more than 600 yards.

    Travis Beckum, TE, Wisconsin
    6'4" 231 lbs
He has the ability to play WR, but plays TE. Beckum led all tight ends last season with 985 receiving yards and should once again be thier top wepon in the passing game.

    Victor Harris, CB, Virginia Tech
    6'0" 192 lbs
Harris has the knack for making the big play on defense or ST. He has 9 ints in the last 2 years and scored one TD on a kickoff return. The coaching staff had him practice at WR during spring drills, and could play both ways this fall.

Kenny McKinnley, WR South Carolina-Returning SEC leader in receptions. Not the biggest or fastest receiver, but very productive. Very good at route running and not scared to go over the middle. Should have another big years

He's actually a jr., isn't he? (allbeit a lock for the all-conference team) .... Spurrier is known for airing it out, but the qb issue remains for the 'Cocks, doesn't it?... Is Tommy Beecher going to be the starter? They basically have an easy start to thier schedule, but the second half is going to be a killer!

This will be his senior year. I think the QB will be fine if we can get good play from the O-line. Beecher was named the starter, but you never know. Smelley was only a freshman last year, so he really didn't do too bad for starting in the SEC, especially considering a weak O-line. He will go with whoever is hot...and don't count out Garcia, he is the most talented and should be back. The second half of the schedule is brutual, always is!
