Reid, Baker Battling For One Spot.

Reid will surprise in camp. Not saying he makes the team, but he will show he belongs and will immediately get picked up by another team if we cut him. Just can't get that Mike Vrabel feeling out of the back of my head.

I am sick on an annual basis over Vrabel as well...

I really don't doubt that Reid will suprise in camp. Actually, hasn't he had a few very good camps?... It's the whole injury thing with me. Man, if I didn't know better, I'd think he went to the Duce Staley school of regular season participation practices.

Think about it. We got rid of Vrabel and kept Haggens. What a great deal that was.

Now that's not fair to compare Vrabel and Haggens being that Clark didn't have
any "extra help" that Vrabel probably benefited from in New England.

the fifth WR will likely be active on game days as ariens will want to run five receiver sets. in these sets that fifth wide receiver will likely be a slot guy and be expected to contribute on special teams. While reid may not be ideal, neither of these roles suits Baker very well at all.

I'd take Reid as a slot receiver because of his ability as a former RB to get yards after the catch. Baker is a lot like Washington as far as getting dropped quickly after the catch--except Baker can consistently catch the ball.
