    Bentley still being considered?

    Numerous teams interested in Bentley
    The News
28-year-old centers with two Pro Bowls on their resume are not easy to find, so even though he has not played in two seasons, LeCharles Bentley is being looked at by at least 8 teams, according to NFL.com.
    Our View
The website reports that Buffalo, Cincinnati, Miami, Oakland, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, San Francisco and Seattle are interested. He seems to be healthy, but after missing two years, it will be interesting to see if he can return to form.
This was posted yesterday from Fanball.com. I don't know to what degree this "interest" is though. It could just be a phone call for all we know.

I'm not sure I like this idea...2 years is a long time not playing.

Adam Schefter on NFL Total Access last night said that he would not be surprised if he ended up on any team in the AFC North or the St. Louis Rams. This would be a nice pickup. Not sure what type of price tag he would come with.

I hope they sign Bentley. It is a low risk high payoff move. They will get him at a good price and if he returns to form you have a All Pro Center.

I'm sure playing for a AFC North team would give him extra motivation to stick it to the Stains.

I agree, if the price was right, it wouldn't hurt to see if he could play.

I keep seeing if the price is right...

I'd imagine he wouldn't command the giant salary he got initially when he signed with the Stains.

I guess I can fall into the if the price is right camp as well, as long as he brings his playbook (or memory of it) with him.

I would be ok with this signing. I still have a hard time believing the Clowns would just cut him if they didn't think he could still play.

For a vet contract with incentives...Done! The guy made the Pro-Bowl at G & C. Sign him to push Mahan at least. If he plays better than Mahan send him packing. 2 years not playing is both good & bad. Don't forget...2 years less wear! What would it hurt to add some more competition through camp.

What about Hartwig? As long as if it doesn't work out in camp the Steelers don't have much salary or signing bonus to eat. On the other hand, if he did work out we'd have a lot of cash tied up in the center opsition between Mahan, Hartwig and Bentley.

On the $ Pap. Mahan would have to go, and that ain't happening this yr. Too much of a cap hit.

This guy will want cash...won't happen...end of story.

While I could believe the Browns are dumb enough to allow
a stud to leave...its hard to believe Bentley would play for
    a reasonable contract.
    Trolls are people too.
