And many of those really marquee teams will becoming to Pittsburgh. That helps some.

Marquee teams at home, marquee teams on the road there is no break in the action for us this year. If, and that is a big if, we make the playoffs nobody will doubt that we belong there like last year when the best team we beat were the seachickens.
I said 2 years ago that the NFL Schedule has become sooo important. Steelers really
appear to have got the worst end of it this season. Hey, there is a reason no one has repeated as AFC North champions in the past. One thing I found interesting however is that when the Season win Props came out a coupel month ago, the vegas sportsbook that I was looking at had the steelers over/under at 9 wins. The Browns only at 8. Kind of surprised me. I was surprised to see the 10 win Browns team opening up at 8. You would have to think the general betting public will love the over there. Especially with the upgrades Browns have made. But maybe Las Vegas knows something we don't.
Other than facing Denver and Buffalo instead of San Diego and New England, the Browns have the same tough schedule we have. They have to play the Colts, Jags, Titans, Texans, Cowboys, Giants, Redskins, and Eagles, plus they have to face the Steelers twice! Their easiest games look to be the home-and-home series with Baltimore and Cincy. There is no way I would take the over on the Browns. Tell me how they are really any different from the Bengals? Good offense, no defense. The similarly one sided Bengals flopped after their one decent season. The one sided (all defense, no offense) Ravens tend to be good one year, then sucky the next. Good luck with that, Brownies. Teams that can play both offense and defense are consistently good. There is only one team like that in the AFC North.[/quote:2uolo919]

Of course, we smart people that don't get blinded by numerous free agent signings see that. I think MSM was referring to the general betting public, which we all know get brainwashed by Mortensen and other ESPN goofballs that are hangin on the stains nuts.

    Stains 8-8, ...still suck.

The Browns will start out 0-2!! Every year there is a team that fails at living up to the expectations that the media sets for them. Two years ago it was Carolina, last year it was Baltimore, this year it will be the Browns. [/quote:sxhnv4te]

I thought the Saints were the media darlings last year and didn't they stumbled to a nice 0-5 out of the gate?

Yup the Saints. Don't forget the 49ers, they were supposed to make the playoffs...umm you kinda need a quarterback...

And of course the Cards every year are supposed to take the leap.

Correct. I was referring to the Squares who eat up all of the ESPN talk like their speaking from a bible. I am a contrarion. When i hear everyone running to a certain team, I often go the other way or at least look deeper into things. I have my perceptions of NFL teams just like everyone. But I also sit back a little and take a pause cause things are not always as they seem.

for the record i predicted a Saints early collapse last year. I could easily see that same thing happening to the Clowns. The offense wil have been studied this offseason. they won't catch anyone by surprise. and how much more can they get from Jamal Lewis?
And like what was said above, their defense is awful.
