I think I just found my week 1 play

9/4 7:00 ET At NY Giants -4 Washington
    9/7 1:00 ET At Baltimore -1 Cincinnati
9/7 1:00 ET NY Jets -3 At Miami
9/7 1:00 ET At New England -15 Kansas City
    9/7 1:00 ET At Pittsburgh -7 Houston
    9/7 1:00 ET Jacksonville -3 At Tennessee
    9/7 1:00 ET Detroit -1 At Atlanta
    9/7 1:00 ET At Buffalo -1 Seattle
9/7 1:00 ET At New Orleans -3.5 Tampa Bay
9/7 1:00 ET At Philadelphia -7 St. Louis
    9/7 4:15 ET Dallas -3 At Cleveland
9/7 4:15 ET At San Diego -10 Carolina
9/7 4:15 ET Arizona -2.5 At San Francisco
    9/7 8:15 ET At Indianapolis -9 Chicago

    Monday Night Football Point Spread

9/8 7:00 ET At Green Bay -2.5 Minnesota
    9/8 10:15 ET Denver -1 At Oakland

Give me the Packers -2.5 at home.

When the Steelers were a primarily a conservative Run team that played Strong defense, they always got off to slow starts. The Vikings soooooo remind me of those Steeler teams. The Vikings will win their fair share of games. But their not going to line up at Greenbay and just ram the ball down the Packers throats week 1. Not against that defense and not on the road. It will take a while before the Vikings truly get rolling.
Aaron Rogers will open it up early and often and then hand off the ball to that Rookie RB that played so well a year ago. Being that this is a Monday night game, the Public will be anticipating a huge game from adrian Peterson as well as a poor game from Rogers. Trust me, ESPN will hype the game that way. But it will be Rogers and his RB that will steal the show.

I would also consider the Redskins at +4 If it weren't for the new coach. After all Eli manning Sucks.

Lay the -9 with the Colts.

New Stadium, New Attitude, Healthy Harrison & Freeney, Return of Rhodes. I think the Colts really put it together this year and claim the #1 spot in the AFC from the Patriots. Both teams will finish with 14-2 records. The Colts claim the #1 spot by virtue of beating the Patriots in the regular season.

They will dismantle the Bears on Sunday Night to the tune of 34-13.

I don't normally like laying that many points. But its hard to argue with the Colts success, especially coming out of the gates. Harrison is 36 years old and has had a tough offseason so far with that shooting crisis. So there are question marks there.
To be honest, I really just don't want to believe you. You maybe right abotu Pats and Colts at 14-2. But geez, as a fan I sure don't want another year of that if you know what I mean.

I hear ya. I just have a funny feeling about the Colts this year. I really think they are going to put together a monster season. I think after the Patriots undefeated season last year, Brady's 1 up on the touchdown pass record and Moss's 1 up on the touchdown reception record this will have Manning coming out of the gate firing on all cylinders. I see him making a serious run at getting his record back and since he calls most of his own plays anyway this is easily obtainable and this time he won't be sitting idle in meaningless games. The Colts he will pour it on just like the Patriots did last year. Manning has 3 great recievers in Wayne, Harrison and Clark to help him get the record back. He will also have a good backfield in Addai and Rhodes to keep defenses honest.

I see the Colts entering the Patriots game undefeated and after beating the Patriots to remain undefeated the talk of another undefeated season starts to errupt. However, it is short lived when the Colts lose to the Chargers 3 weeks later. They throw away the last game of the season against the Titans after locking up the #1 spot .

I don't mind the Colts but if I have to spend another season like last year watching Patriotvision I am going to completely lose it. I would prefer to be talking about the Steelers but I have little to no faith in Tomlin and our schedule is downright brutal. Put the two together and we could be in for a very long year. Our only savior next year is to take care of business in the AFC North. In my opinion we have to go 6-0 to win it and make the playoffs. One loss and I just don't know where we are going to pick up another 5 wins considering we couldn't beat one good team last year.

The one thing you have to keep in mind though is that the Colts might very well be playing in th leagues toughest Division this year. 14-2 is going to be really tough just from that standpoint. Our schedule is down right brutal. You are right. My hope is that the Steelers have just an awesome record with Roethlisberger at Heniz field since 2004.
And many of those really marquee teams will becoming to Pittsburgh. That helps some.

Marquee teams at home, marquee teams on the road there is no break in the action for us this year. If, and that is a big if, we make the playoffs nobody will doubt that we belong there like last year when the best team we beat were the seachickens.

I said 2 years ago that the NFL Schedule has become sooo important. Steelers really
appear to have got the worst end of it this season. Hey, there is a reason no one has repeated as AFC North champions in the past. One thing I found interesting however is that when the Season win Props came out a coupel month ago, the vegas sportsbook that I was looking at had the steelers over/under at 9 wins. The Browns only at 8. Kind of surprised me. I was surprised to see the 10 win Browns team opening up at 8. You would have to think the general betting public will love the over there. Especially with the upgrades Browns have made. But maybe Las Vegas knows something we don't.

The Browns will start out 0-2!! Every year there is a team that fails at living up to the expectations that the media sets for them. Two years ago it was Carolina, last year it was Baltimore, this year it will be the Browns.

Other than facing Denver and Buffalo instead of San Diego and New England, the Browns have the same tough schedule we have. They have to play the Colts, Jags, Titans, Texans, Cowboys, Giants, Redskins, and Eagles, plus they have to face the Steelers twice! Their easiest games look to be the home-and-home series with Baltimore and Cincy. There is no way I would take the over on the Browns. Tell me how they are really any different from the Bengals? Good offense, no defense. The similarly one sided Bengals flopped after their one decent season. The one sided (all defense, no offense) Ravens tend to be good one year, then sucky the next. Good luck with that, Brownies. Teams that can play both offense and defense are consistently good. There is only one team like that in the AFC North.
