Thread: FAVORITE SPIRIT?

    FAVORITE SPIRIT?

OK there's been talk of food, shows, women, etc.

when you go to happy hour, what is your drink of choice? liquor, beer, wine, o'douls, etc. for me:

    1. crown and coke. some of my hardcore whiskey-drinking buddies frown upon blended but it goes down soooo easy.

    2. goose and cran. again i get ripped sometimes for drinking a pinkish concoction but i lik'em.

    3. for a brew, i gotta go with shiner bock. this is one habit i picked up after moving to texas.

Very nice! #1 & #2 are my favorite drinks...for me nothing beats Crown and Cokes...had quite a few of them this past Saturday, I feel like I'm still paying for it.

ours is not to wonder why just invert and multiply...

No frills, light beer. I can drink it all day and still stay coherent. And I can buy a 30 pack for less than $15 (for now).

If I'm at a holiday party, perhaps I will have some mixed drinks. Malibu rum and pineapple is good. Beam and coke is good too.

What's that? I've heard of Long Island Iced Tea but never that one...what's in it?

I gave up the sauce over 4 years ago (killer hangovers after a night out with only 2 drinks...who needs that?) but when I was drinking it was pretty much Captain and Coke. I never saw the point of "acquiring a taste" for something. If it tasted good to me I drank it...if it tasted bad I didn't. No need to prove my machismo by drinking tequila or some other turpentine tasting swill.

Yes I did, and to this day still give it HIGH marks.
Usually though I tend to stick to some ice cold bud light.
Back in my younger days I always thought it a waste to dilute good whiskey with anything sweet, so I preferred Beam and soda if I was going to have a mixed drink.
Still dont mind a shot and a beer every now and then.

Goose and tonic with a lime.... absolutely smooth. I haven't partaken since Cincy last year. Not that the Goose wasn't flowin' nice but more that the moonshine that I chased it with slapped the slant out of my eyes. OUCH.
