The Kentucky Speedway was sold by Mr. Carroll, and this will open up a race here.... The new owner has 8 cup races, and will move one to NKy in '09. The date is yet to be determined....
I know alot of you all don't care for NASCAR, but unless you've seen one live, please don't discriminate... It changes the complete perspective once you see one in person.

I'm not really interested but it is probably more fun to watch in person.
I try to watch at least Daytona every year. I wind up watching NASCAR in that grey area between the Super Bowl and the NBA/NHL playoffs. So I catch about 4 or 5 races if i set my mind to it.
I will say this for NASCAR, it is, hands down, the best Sunday afternoon nap fodder ever. I manage to wake up for all the restarts, watch a few laps, and go back to sleep, then wake up in time for the last 10 to 15 laps.
I got into NASCAR about 5 years ago when I was invited to join a fantasy nascar league. I have enjoyed it ever since.
Have been to Talledega twice. Both times, I saw more tatoo's than teeth. Had a great time and would love to go a thrid time!!
