Hair ban back on the table.

    http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2008/05/ ... s-of-jers/

NFL owners in March considered -- and tabled -- a rule that would have banned players from wearing their hair long enough to cover the names on the backs of their jerseys.

Tabling the issue led some to conclude that the owners had decided to give up on it, but apparently not. Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe reports that when NFL owners meet in Atlanta Tuesday, the reintroduction of that proposal will be on the agenda.

I don't understand the league and owners, you worry about socks and hair but want to ignore cheating.
Not to mention you have a battle with the players coming up and you want to worry about the length of their hair?

That's just idiotic that the owners will waste time talking about this...aren't there more pressing issues at hand like preventing the Pats* from cheating again???

You guys are missing one key point, and it is a big one.

Goodell and Kraft are worried about the impact that long hair (like Troy's) could have on the ability of the Pats to effectively tape and steal signals. Leave unchecked, it could have dire consequences on the Patriots strategic advantage.

I think NFL is afraid that players will hide microphones/video cameras in their hair maybe...only logical explanation for this nonsense.

You mean to tell me that there is NOTHING better the league can come up with than whether a player wants to have his hair a certain way?!

    Re-tar-d-ed!
