Re: 2008 Post-Draft Roster: Who makes it & who doesn't.

So nobody wants to play along as to what our roster will look like after camp, and who is gone?!... OK, I'll take that as a lame thread idea...

...Actually, I'm just doing a bit of research before I place my list....

I'm pretty much right in line with you, SMG. The only changes I would be make would be that if you plan to keep 10 DB's, I think I'd go with 5 CB's and 5 safeties, instead of 6 CB's and 4 safeties. Get rid of either Mason or Madison in favor of Lorello or Carter. eltrain's boy could be an asset on special teams (by the way, did any of you board pimps send a PM to eltrain about the move?)

Also, I am not a big Jon Dekker guy. I thought he was a guy that Cowher kept around because he went to college with his daughter. I'd rather put 10-15 more pounds onto Matt Trannon and make him a 3rd TE. Or if Micah Rucker shows something in training camp, I wouldn't mind keeping him as a 6th WR, since everything I've read about that dude intrigues me. We'll see, though.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Re: 2008 Post-Draft Roster: Who makes it & who doesn't.

I have to believe the RB situation boils down to keeping 2 of these three

    Davis...Davenport...Russell

I think Davenport is the odd man out personally.
    Trolls are people too.
