  1. Re: Line spots could be Steelers' top target at scouting com

I'd say it's o-line or bust for Pittsburgh in round 1. Ben's limped into the playoffs every year except 2- the championships, and it's a ridiculous waste of the limited time they have a franchise qb....
  2. Re: Hines Ward Unlikely to be back with Steelers?

My thing with Ward is I see a guy who can't defend himself on the football field against the vicious hits that come his way because of his past reputation. He's gonna get seriously hurt out there and...

Re: Doesnt matter, NE would've destroyed us

I agree with you guys. Too many injuries- going back to training camp. If this is it, then they had a great year overcoming adversity to achieve 12-4. I say rest up, have a great draft and contend...

    Re: Denver's Game Plan

This is what I meant by "the fix is in." The national media grossly overhyped the Steelers while not discussing all the injuries that the locals are all too familiar with. And now the questionable...
  5. Re: Wisconsin C Peter Konz Declares for the 2012 Draft.

THey should look at the best OL available, even if it's a college center.

    Re: Pouncey Out

Pouncy and Ben should not have been playing on high ankles. It's insane on Tomlin's part.

And in Pouncy's case this may be career threatening.

    Re: Denver's Game Plan

I feel bad for Tebow too. I think there really is an anti-Christian bias against him.

But the way the media spins this as "Tebow has no chance," completely ignoring how severely injured the...
  8. Re: New England offensive coordinator to accept PSU coaching

I agree. I feel bad for the PSU alums but they have to be real. Their program is in pure survival mode right now and they're lucky to get get anyone with a resume to accept the job at this time.
  9. Re: Steelers veteran defensive end Smith not quite finished

It would be pathetic if Tomlin invites him to camp next year.

    Re: KEMO needs to die

The Steelers have the worse guards in theleague. And thw worst thing about Pouncy is Kemo getting into the game.

They'll never be true contenders until they draft a new guard (or two). It's too...
  11. Re: Cornerback Curtis Brown proving to be special

I guess I can't disagree in the sense that they're playing good D, and CBrown had some injury issues, and C.Allen doing very well. The future of the D looks bright.

    I still don't like Gay/McF at...
  12. Re: Cornerback Curtis Brown proving to be special

Yea, monster game for C. Brown.

He's too good of a football player to be relegated to special teams. He need to be in the secondary.

    Re: Get ready for it

If it happens, I'll still blame the offense. The D played well enough to win. The offense has no ability to control a game because of the guard play.

    Worst OGs in NFL?

I say yes. This is maybe the best skilled position in football yet cannot score and is horrid in the redzone. And it's on the guards. I'd like to see them draft OG in firsth round. Two would better....
  16. Re: Gay with man to man + Clark over the top equals...

Gay and Clark can't play in the NFL. They can't cover. If they were cut today they would be unemployed. But the Steeler coaches are in love with these guys and that's it. THe Ravens out coached them...

I thought all the injuries to a number of starters was advantageuos because it forced changes and they played better with the younger players.

  18. Re: However this season turns out...it is the end of an era

I agree. I do think it's an end of an era both long term and short term. Long term we've had a 20 year run where players were lost to retirement or free agency and there was an abundance of young...

    Re: Worilds

I agree with DRock. Smith-Hampton-Keisel-Farrior cannot control the middle. Teams run all over Pittsburgh. That's why the olbs aren't in a position to make plays. I don't know why they won't let the...

    Re: Transition Year?? Like 2006

I agree with Sid. I mean my God, Smith-Hampton-Keisel-Farrior are from the Cowher era. They should be rotating, not starting. They can't stop the run anymore. Hood-McClendon-Heywood-Sylvester need to...
