Then explain how Baltimore did it?
Yes you can. Again see what Baltimore did with Flacco. Before the start of the 2013 season he was over $14 million towards their cap. He is currently $6.8 towards their cap this year.
I've been saying it for months. There are going to be quite a few players released. These guys, like James Harrison, do not want to take pay cuts. Unless Ben is traded this is inevitable.
Lions 38 Steelers 17. Sorry...just dont see it any other way. I hope I am wrong.
Ben gets sacked 7 times.
My point has never been about what Ben wants. It's about a Steeler source leaking this rumor. Of course Ben is going to say what he did. How can he face the fans, the media and his teammates the rest...
Is that the best thing for this franchise to do? Is Ben going to last that long? He is already on a decline as far as performance is concerned the past few years. Ben has been sack 35 times already...
I've been a Steeler fan since 1972. And currently we're have an elite QB and are 11-14 the past year and half.
We need to stop thinking that trading Ben is impossible due to his cap hit.
Ben is going to want to be paid like Flacco. The Steelers cannot afford to do so. They need to come to an agreement...
Then how did Baltimore and New England do it?
Flacco was scheduled to count at $14.896 million on Baltimore’s salary cap at the start of the 2013 league year on March 12 without a new contract...
....couldn't resist. :)
His contract can be ripped up and re-done for a long term extension that creates cap space. But I do not believe the Steelers want to give him a new long term contract. He is going to be looking for...
Right, but in Seferian-Jenkins case he was twice the legal limit and so far drunk that he lost control and crashed his car.
No, I said I was not going to discuss it anymore and I have done just that. Thanks.
And had they killed some one?
Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Shayne Skov have both been arrested. Why not also add Colt Lyerla while you're at it? ;)
..on the trading of Ben. Seems to be upsetting many. So I will give it a rest. However, after a few more loses (and they are coming), I am willing to bet there is going to be some internal issues...
I believe the two extra first round picks are picks inside the top 15, and 1 of them top 10. Those are not Mike Adams and Marcus Gilbert who were both 2nd round picks.
Pouncey...you have seen with...
Adams and Gilbert have pretty much sucked to this point and Pouncey and DeCastro have not been what they were billed to be. And both have struggled. That's the hope you have for this team?
We are currently at 11-14 the past year and half with our franchise QB. I dont think an unknown in this draft is as desperate as you see it. 11-14 is desperate.
A healthy O-line? Adams, Beachum,...
I also dont believe the numbers the Steelers are committed at are correct either. I've seen it at around $137 million towards 41 players.
Ben, he didnt make this up. Did you hear what he said? It came from a Steeler source. You think you're mad now...wait a few more weeks. You're gonna be livid.
I do not believe this website is right. The cap for 2014 is at the same it is this year. $123 million.
And F' attention!!! I want what is best for my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers!! Keeping Ben at 32 next year with all these holes is not it.
It is the 3rd highest over the cap by any team. I've seen it around $137 million for 41 players.
