Maybe he means Howard Jones.
Ummm...wasn't Harrison only signed last year after Jones went down to injury? Does not sound to me like he was signed due to deep disappointment in Jones.
Injuries scare me when it comes to OO. He may have a high ceiling, but I just get the feeling that hips can degenerate all too quickly, and you have a situation like Kendrell Bell - you are in love...
If Jones comes into this season where he was right before he was injured, and if he is on the same trajectory as he was at that point, then I am very happy having that player.
I would think that the second year of the contract is just a ploy to defer part of his cap hit on a one year contract. Interested to see the deal.
Whether you cut a player or trade him, it has the same effect on the cap. In this case, Timmons will be in the last year of his deal, so there is no difference between anything happening before or...
I think that Archer comes to camp pencilled in on the roster. I can see a situation where he falls flat on his face and does not make it. It would also require a player like Josh Harris to step up...
One of the problems with the internet is that anybody can become a reported. People see an article and believe that it was written by a journalist, but in too many cases it was probably written by a...
Hillarious, considering that in the article that PFT wrote about the Ravens cutting Pierce, they had this to say:
Robinson paying a visit to the Burgh this weekend.
He is showing us which one he will be a part of.
Come on dude, that was 1937...still too soon. :p
Funny on so many levels...
First off, when Wallace signed in Miami, and he was claiming that he was not all about the money, he said that he was offered more in Minny, but opted to play in Miami...
The Steelers are picking up a $3M bonus on Allen on top of a $2.6M salary for '15. Like it or not, he is going to be given every opportunity to be a starter. They may still go after a FA like...
For those of you in the Jabaal Sheard camp...he is a Pat now. 2 years, $11M.
The guy is 27 years old, and he gets to walk into the next phase of his life with possibly $10M or so in the bank. Not so bad.
Lions acquire Haloti Ngata in trade with Ravens
I believe that retirement works the same way as waiving or trading a player. His cap hit can be accelerated into this year prior to June 1, or it can be partially pushed into next year.
He is 26, he is being paid like a backup, and he has a chance to either be a starter, or at least get on the field for plenty of snaps.
Anytime a player's downside is his contract, and his upside...
Agree on Searcy. He is a good safety.
Watch the Bills play with both perfectly healthy and you see who is the clear #1.
When healthy, Spiller was the #1. Jackson was his compliment.
The article pretty much states that this is what Worilds should ask for - and is coming from the perspective of an agent. Of course he should ask for $53M. Any GM who forks it over should be fired on...
Supposedly he is getting plenty of interest on the market so far. He was cut because of a $6.5M cap number more than because he is not good.
Spiller is a top ten RB talent, but with big injury concerns. Someone will pay for the talent, and it won't be in Pittsburgh.
