What fan base are you talking about?
It's down right disrespectful to see a RB get a 5 yard carry on us...
The only fans who would get mad are fantasy football fans who think beating a team by 20 points gets them an extra W.
he's talking about fans like you.
its more disrespectful to surround a franchise qb with marginal talent just so a drafted defensive player can sit the bench for the last few years of bens prime.
well, thats ur opinion. but it doesnt make sense anyway. we've seen the steelers draft high picks to be back ups at (DE, DE, LB)
still dont see a 1st or 2nd being used to back up the wide receiver position.
in fact, i still dont see a 1st or 2nd rd pick in the receiver core at all. how many teams in the league can say that??
you also think an NT should be drafted at #15 overall. a position we deployed in 50% of our snaps on defense
if you were to ask experts around the league cotch/wheaton as our #2 starting WR is one of the weaker spots. just as sanders was going into last year
We have more pressing needs than WR... I know you want it to be the most pressing but it isn't.
Nix at 15 also wouldnt come off the field for 50% of the snaps.

Fans like me wouldnt be mad if we went D heavy, kid...
Ben WANTED Sanders to return... but fans like YOU didn't want Ben to get what he wanted last year.

True, more like 40%:p

everything i'm reading about nix says otherwise

Those guys had Keisel, A.Smith, Harrison, Woodley, Ike and Mcfadden in front of them..
There isn't a Casey Hampton in front of Nix.

duh, the poster said fans will be disappointed if they think the FO is going to sell out and go all defense. you then turn around and say, 'i wont be made if they go all defense'
as far as last year, i didnt want the steelers to match NE. i wanted the draft pick. guess who was right?, ME. guess who was wrong, YOU
ben has been asking for a big wr for years now. why hasnt the FO given him that?
you do understand that a qb will 99% of the time lobby for one of his guys to stay just so it sounds like he is supporting his team mates, right?

once again you aren't making any sense at all....and what makes you right about Sanders?
It's amazing how Ben can say something and people can decipher whats true and what's smoke and mirrors based on how they are leaning on an issue.
Ben says he doesn't have a problem with Haley... "no way, he is just giving lip service, look how he walked passed him on the sideline"
Ben says he wants a big WR.. "see, that's proof, I believe him"
Ben says he wanted Sanders to return ..."nope, he is just supporting a teammate, he didn't really want him"

dude, you kill me.
so in your mind when ben said he wants a big wr, its not true and the FO shouldnt get him one and then in your next breath you say ben wanted sanders to comeback so the FO needs to give ben what he wants.

Please put the paint chips down. Your reading comprehension skills are worse than your quoting skills Squid..
I never said I didn't believe Ben when he said he wanted a big WR. I said Ben wanted Sanders to return and you made up some excuse about Ben only saying it to be supportive of a teammate
Big Ben has lobbied coach Mike Tomlin and others within the Steelers' organization to keep Sanders in black and gold, CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora reported Friday. Wallace and Sanders combined for 108 catches and 1,462 yards and nine touchdowns last season. Sanders had career highs in receptions and yards in 2012, and he just turned 26.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Ben Roethlisberger is "lobbying" Steelers coach Mike Tomlin to match the Patriots' one-year, $2.5 million offer sheet to restricted free agent Emmanuel Sanders. So the Sanders decision will be a good litmus test of how much power Big Ben has within the organization. The Steelers are still going to make the best possible business decision, and that may very well involve letting Sanders go and accepting the 91st overall draft pick in return. Because the 2013 draft is deep on wide receiver talent, we tentatively expect Pittsburgh to cut bait on Sanders. But there are indications that this thing could go either way.

Ben wanted Sanders to return.... so you are saying Ben is wrong and YOU are being disrespectful of what he wanted.

Now this right here... ^^^ this is some short bus logic. Ovi said fans would be disappointed/angry if we went D heavy. I disagreed with him and said I "don't" think fans will be disappointed/angry if we go D heavy and proved it by saying "I won't be mad if we went D heavy" which means the exact opposite of being mad.
you are either drunk, high or playing awfully dumb to get attention.
WTF.. who's on first?
