Update:
R. Mendenhall - 16 for 60 yds ...... better than all Steeler rushers combined.
That is because Mendenhall was always underrated here. Not that he was burning it up last game but shoot he would be the best back on this team right now.
No one in the f o ever said we were rebuilding IIRC.
Didn't say they did. I was responding to the OP's statement, where he postulated that the Steelers were rebuilding.

fixed it for you! lol!
Mike Devlin in his 7th yr coaching the Jets O-line. Maybe just different coaching?? Jets have drafted some high picks too, D'brick and mangold to name two, but they usually have a good line. He has picked up some stunts pretty good.
Vlad ducasse is a 2nd rounder too. He played well against wilfork tonight
ideally that's how I would draft an OL. Franchise LT (although we never seem to draft that high) and center in the 1st
2nd rounder at one of the 3 remaining positions l(id go RT)and fill in the rest with later picks
Good riddance. What a clown, crying after his first game with his new team. Hey Mickey, your team won! I know that doesn't matter to you, but you have to pretend it does.
I don't see the problem.. WR's are selfish and want the ball. He should be smarter about how he conducts himself after a win but players like him want the ball.
If he has a few more games like this (even if they win) Miami fans will start demanding production.

Mike will get his. A game or two more of Hartline and Gibson slashing opposing D's and teams won't be able to "cloud" Wallace anymore.
Same thing as Troy. If we were truly rebuilding, why not cut Ike and his big salary loose, and use the $ to re-sign Keenan Lewis and maybe some O-line help?
BHD, do you think that the Steelers went into this off-season thinking that they were a rebuilding team? Whether or not they are right in believing so, I think that they went into the year expecting to give it another run, if not this year then next. A true rebuilding would probably take us out of Ben's window as well as Troy and Ike.
Not what I heard...I heard he wanted to come back to the Steelers but they didn't even make him an offer.

The thing with Lewis is that he always had the talent to become a good CB, but several times along the way he worked his way into the doghouse. I think that as he entered last season the FO had already decided that they do not like him and did not want to keep him. The first time he put together a decent season ended with his fate already being pre-determined. It isn't like they lowballed him, or told him to go out and come back to give them a chance to beat whatever offer he might get. They simply did not try to do anything with him. Even if they thought that he would be priced out of their range, they would have done their due diligence and contacted him. In the multi bilion dollar business of NFL football, you can't tell me that they would not have spent that quarter on a phone call to see if he was a possibility if they wanted him at all.

He was BFFFs with Wally. That sealed his fate.
