I like Trufants skills and attitude he displays on the field. He performed well in big games and usually covered the top WR. Pitts. did not attend his pro day so that leaves me worried because I think he would be a great selection. His brother, Marcus, said he is the best athlete in the family.
I'm probably wrong but I'd like to think that if the draft played out the KC Star and Chance Warmack was available at 17, the Steelers would say "to heck with it" and have the baddest IOL in the leage (at least on paper) and go with it. Take safeties in around 2 & round 3.
I seen a mock where the Steelers take Johnathan Cooper @17. He plays both guard positions and can play center. You would think with Foster signed we wouldn't go that route but with the history of injuries on the line you never know.
Here is a mock draft 3.0 post pro days I read at Steeler depot.
1. Johnathan Cooper....G NC
2. Robert Woods....WR USC
3. T.J. Mcdonald....SS USC
4. John Simon......OLB Ohio St
5. kenjon Barner HB Oregon
6a Joe K ruger....DE Utah
6.b Michael Maulti ILB Penn St
7Ryan Griffin QB Tulane
Except for the absence of a TE that actually makes lots of sense on how it could unfold.
