not sure that would keep them from taking him, though I don't know.
I have seen a ton of mocks that have him pegged to the bears.
if the steelers want him, they should grab him at 17. Trading back would seem risky.
I would rather see eifert at 17 than vacarro.
seems like the value at safety is in the 2-3 rounds.
I'm with you here. I've said for a long time that TE would be a good idea for a top pick. From the look of things, the D will NOT be as good as in recent years no matter who they pick in the draft. The O has got to score some points. Losing our best producing WR hurts. Heath being out for at least the early part of the season hurts too. Likely losing Mendy and not having a starting caliber RB hurts as well. At least a TE like Eifert can help as a weapon and as protection. He would create a matchup nightmare for Steeler opponents and be able to see the field quickly.

They also have our old TE Matt Spaeth. I agree, I'm not sure if Chi. would take him also or not. It would be nice to get 1 or 2 more picks this year was my thinking.

oh, I agree with that.
we need all the picks we can get.
Agree again! If they don't they will waste Ben's final 5 years or perhaps they plan to eventually move Ben ala Peyton Manning. That would be totally stupid.
If they don't really restock the offense in the draft we could be sub .500 next season.
The end of the world may be near:-)

The Steelers have interest in former Bears TE Kellen Davis, who is being released after the Martellus Bennett signing
