612 yards on 48 catches and 8 TDs...With a very bad QB throwing to him.
No guarantee that he will be successful in the Burgh...but by no means did he suck last year. He could become another red zone threat for this team...and that is something we most definitely could use.
His numbers were very solid all things considered. He wasn't the number one option with Holmes in the fold and as already mentioned Sanchez is a marginal QB. I'll take those kind of numbers all day long for the Steelers.

Way better than he is being given credit for. Especially with Mark Sanchez tossing him the ball.
Since when is 612yds for a NFL starting WR "solid". What his numbers were, was below average. Keep in mind of his 8 TDs 3 of them came in one game.
Did it ever occur to anybody that poor receiver play has contributed to Sanchez' decline in play? Mason and Burress would have been a great 2 and 3 combo back in 2000.

Be fair- Burress was the 3rd WR on a poor passing team. What were Sanders numbers last year?

Ben is one of the top QB's in the league and already has chemistry with Plax.

Ben finally has the big WR he's been asking for since Plax left....

...and Ben is on the sideline and we don't know if he will even play again this season. So much for chemistry.
or maybe they just wanted someone over 6 feet tall weighing over 190 LBs who can be physical with opposite corners.
who on the roster gave us that?
maybe he canalso hold onto the ball while being tackled
