Dive for it.
Also on the almost TD. get ur feet in, fall down.....don't be afraid to get ur jersey dirty dude!! he's a pussy!!
He's putting forth the effort of a disgruntled employee............
No effort at all. He's not the reason they lost but he didn't help either.
Like I say... If it's not a fly pattern, he won't give 100% lol
I wonder what Hines was thinking when he saw that.
He's makin the Steelers decision on what to do with him very easy.
I think the title of the post says it all: He simply isn't a Steeler. His lack of effort is appalling. Compare him to almost any other starter and his effort just stinks. The rest of the guys played their guts out and this wussy can't bother to focus or dive to the ground. I can't wait until he is gone.
This is why Brown is more important - he makes the tough catch & makes sure teams can't double Wallace.
With his lack of effort, he might be on a roster with Limas in the future.
i hope for a major knee injury to him

you are pathetic.
you are pathetic.
not as pathetic as wallace's actions the past 6 months
You gotta step back and calm down. You're ticked off right now and I'm sure you really dont wish a "major knee injury" on Wallace.
Saddest excuse for a WR the Steelers have ever had!!!!
JD
Look at the bright side, some idiot owner will overpay him and screw their salary cap for the next 10 yrs on a WR with no heart.
did they show what pattern he ran there (cant recall)
was it a hook? down and in? when was he able to turn and see the ball the full way thru? (pretty unlikely since, well.. you dont get to see the ball most of the time in this league until the last second)
afraid to get hit? by what? the ground. the ball was a good 4/5 feet short.

like for keying the win vs. the giants or catching what turned out to be the winnign score in the chiefs game
wishing a major injury on a player is as low as it gets.
no need for that kind of BS.

especially a steeler

are you sure about that?
I agree Wallace was pouting like T.O. He was talking to Ben and Brown. He looked disgruntled as heck. Seems like he was complaining to Ben. Leftwich runs the scout team with Cotchery and Sanders, so he has better chemistry with them. I think Wallace felt he was open a few times and Leftwich looked to Sanders/Crotchery and Mikey wasnt too happy about it. He certainly wasnt putting forth full effort. The TD and not getting his feet down was pathetic. Cotchery also dropped a TD pass (Good D). Wallace had a fumble. We just couldnt make a play to save our lives

Agreed. I am sickened by him but don't wish an injury on him. Now maybe we know why he lasted until the 3rd round?

He was a third-round draft pick because he was raw coming out of college. He only knew how to run go patterns at Ole Miss. Seems like not a whole lot has changed, although occasionally he'll appear to put effort into something that's not a go pattern.
Would love to have had Plaxico on that same pass in the end zone that Wallace stepped out of bounds on. We're missing that tall target in that situation.

Like I have said since last season, Antonio Brown is the best WR on this team and it shows when he is out. Wallace is a complementary piece to brown and he knows it which is why he doesn't want to stay in Pittsburgh. he knows Brown's star will outshine him and his ego can't handle that.
Disgusting he didn't go low on that one throw. That is a catch an elite WR can easily make. We always argue about how Brown needs Wallace to get open. Well I think we are seeing that Wallace needs Brown to get open.

On this we can agree. It must be the upcoming holiday.
I never hope for an injury to a Steeler, but last night I sure wanted Haley to call a crossing pattern and see Wallace get the wind knocked out of him. His performanc elast night was that of someone who didn't care.
The first glimpse we got into Wally's apathy/disinterest/effort was in the final drive against GB in the SuperBowl. We had let go of Santonio and it was Wally's time to step up. And he just looked lost/confused/disinterested - I have no idea what to call it.
I don't know what it is. He makes big plays. He gets really excited for his teammates when they make a big play. But other times he turns into a zombie. Something's not right. Last night he looked beyond awful. But then I saw him blocking on a JD run. I was taken back. Every time he looks lost, he surprises me and does something.
Makes me wonder what's going on with him sometimes? Does he have a nagging injury? Is it a mental issue? I can't explain it, but it looks like Wally plays like the expression on Jay Cutler's face sometimes.

I agree with you NJ. Lefty made a bad throw and skipped that ball well ahead of Wallace. No one is making that catch.
Wallace was putting Corners on their back as a blocker. Shocked me. We never said Wallace could have caught it. We are mad about the effort. I'm pissed at Wallace but AB is not a better receiver sorry. Speed is the name of the game and Wallace has it. I remember when the Nation hated Santonio Holmes for stealing the MVP from Ben (Like it was Tones fault). Wallace was praised like AB is being praised. Once Wallace leaves will the Nation turn on AB as well? Wallace blows the top off of coverage with his speed but he has got to put forth more effort. He should have had a TD pass (Didnt get feet down)
It's hard to say if it's lack of effort or if that is just Wallace. Tomlin named him a one trick pony for a reason. Have we ever seen him really fight for the ball? He is what he is... a very dangerous speedster that commands respect from the opposition. But I don't think he's ever going to make the tough catches like Hines or the acrobatic catches like Swan.

No way was that ball 4 or 5 feet short. at real time i almost thought it was a catch.
he comes back to the ball with a lunge it's a catch. It's a catch i think I could make.

Not sure what you saw but the play and the replay showed the ball landing right at Wallace's feet. He even got his hands on it but just bent over and didn't go to ground to get it. That was a catchable ball, maybe a hard catch but he could have caught it.
you are pathetic.
+1...that is just stupid talk....
Yup, ball was almost a catch.
At least make an effort

I can't blame Wallace for not catching that ball. He's expecting a typical bullet from Lefty and instead he gets fooled with a change up. Nope, that was on Lefty the whole way.
That's not to say I give Wallace a pass for his inconsistent play this year. I've always been a big Mike Wallace fan but this year his lack of focus at times has been maddening. If he wants to be considered in the elite class he is not helping his cause with his play.

How can you not blame Wallace....his job is to catch passes not wait for a rainbow's

Good points.
I don't blame Wallace for not catching that TD pass. l also don't blame Wallace for not catching that low fastball that Leftwich threw. I do blame him for not even making the slightest of attempt. Even Collinsworth pointed out the lack of effort. On the flip side, I won't give him too much credit for the catch against the Chiefs. He used his hand to deflect the ball and trapped it between his legs. It's not that impressive. I do blame him for the droppsies he's had all year.
I still don't think he's the all-around WR that Holmes was. And I still don't think the Steelers will pay him the money he thinks he deserves. He'll probably get it from some moron team but it won't be the Steelers. IMO, Wallace hasn't done enough to convince the Steelers that he's worth more than what he was already offered.
I think Steeler fans are biased from years of watching Hines Ward gut it all and giving 110% in every game. Ward never shied away from contact, made unbelievable efforts to get that extra yard or first down, a knew how to throw a nasty block for his fellow teammates. If Hines is the yardstick to measure by, Wallace hasn't even made it to the first inch.

why would you wish ill will on a Pittsburgh Steelers player, or upon any other NFL player for that matter?
