When the Bubster was in his final couple of seasons with the Steelers (and at least at that time, didn't mop up for anyone...), he dated a girl that lived in Morgantown.
A buddy of mine worked at a bar in Morgantown that was owned by a loud, obnoxious alcoholic. As was often the case at that time, the bar was pretty crowded one night, when Bubby came in with his girlfriend. The owner, in a drunken stupor, saw Bubby and screamed at the top of his lungs, "Hey everybody...it's Terry f***ing Bradshaw! Show us some of those rings, Terry!"
You could have heard a pin drop.
Bubby mumbled something under his breath and just went about his business while the bar owner's friends convinced him (for once) to just keep his mouth shut.
It was simultaneously horribly uncomfortable and highly entertaining, and I actually felt kind of bad for Bubby.
