Those are cap hits. His BASE salary I believe next year and the year after is $11.6 million.
who cares what his base salary is. The cap hit is what matters to the future of building a team.
It's not about money. He'd get that amount anywhere else.
I'm talking about how they value him, how they use him as a player, how they respect his talent.
And they don't.
His "lack of respect" could have something to do with skipping out on massive bar bills, groping women, having sex in public bathrooms and just generally being "Bonehead Ben" for much of the time. Plus, he plays QB like he is throwing for his frat in an intramural football game with a keg on the sidelines.

Obviously, you disagree with they way they use him, but in the NFL, they wouldn't be keeping him as starting QB if they didn't respect his talent.
Yeah because they won so much for 20 years before him.
Ben could win another ring, and Art wouldn't pay him.
He's an idiot, he listens to the dumb, mindless, brainless sheep who want 1975 football.
DooD!! Where did you come from???
U have made some of the dumbest statements I've ever seen on here.

No, no...we're all idiots...
He's the only intelligent poter. It's like that on this board and, somehow, on every other board where he was banned...
But, we're all stupid...

Well, Rooney is somewhat panicking over getting a power rushing game back in Pgh. I think that is obvious. And the game plan failed miserably, as for the all the energy, focus and $ spent on trying to bring the rushing game back, we were a pathetic 26th in rushing with a pitiful 3.7 ypc average. Something is obviously wrong. For a team that prioritizes the rushing game more than any other team in the league, you'd think you'd have better results than being 26th out of 32 teams. Teams that rush the ball as an afterthought out-rushed this team. Really pathetic.

No truth to the bar tabs. None. Public bathroom sex? None.
Actualy he plays QB like a Hall of Famer.
Sad that the majority of Steelers fans don't respect that.

The majority here are somewhat smart. You on the other hand....
How's Mike Doss' career going anyway?
