God I hope Al Davis was watching and falls in love with his speed and takes him off the board before the Steelers even get a chance to consider him.
Pappy
I liked the look of Hardesty and McKnight. McKnight is going to be a very nice change of pace back for some team. He's one elusive SOB.
didn't his teammate jacoby ford run a 4.28?
maybe someone confused the two.
crap, thats fast
would clear 2 roster spots (5th WR, KR,PR) and possibly a 3rd as a gunner picking him up
RE: montestry, i tubed some hilights of him a while back. he had more spins in that hilight package then mendenhall, if you can believe that
NFL Combine Results
March 1
(12:01 AM): Movin in on top 10 … There a growing buzz around NFL draft circles that Clemson RB C.J. Spiller is moving closer to a top 10 grade at this year‘s draft. And Spiller did nothing to negate that impression on Sunday when he clocked in at a very fast 4.37 seconds over 40 yards at the scouting combine in Indianapolis. That was the second fastest time among backs after California’s Jahvid Best who posted the best time for RBs at 4.35 seconds, while Auburn’s Ben Tate (4.43), Fresno State’s Ryan Mathews (4.45), USC’s Joe McKnight (4.47), Tennessee’s Montario Hardesty (4.49) and James Starks (4.50) of Buffalo all had times of 4.5 or better. It was also a pretty good day for Toby Gerhart of Stanford who timed in the mid-4.5 range, a decent time for a big, between the tackles type runner. On the other hand, Georgia Tech RB Jonathan Dwyer, who had been considered to be the #2 RB behind Spiller wasn’t as quick with a 40 time of only around 4.6 seconds, while Charles Scott of LSU, LeGarrette Blout of Oregon Joique Bell of Wayne State, Andre Dixon of UConn, Anthony Dixon of Mississippi State, and Keith Toston of Oklahoma State all ran around 4.65 seconds or slower.

The 4.27 is the time NFLN put up on the screen.

I realized that at some point yesterday. I just didn't think they would be a full 0.1 off. I'm beginning to think NFLN did that on purpose to drum up viewing audience. Spiller is a very high profile name. They were spot on with Jacoby Ford (4.28) and several others.
