Assuming Rooney actually declined to comment for the article because he knew he won the honor is fairly classy and typical of him and his great leadership. Then you see the other side of the spectrum with "said Jones, owner of the Cowboys" after every other quote. Does that guy shut up!
the only thing that Rooney should have said is that he's proud of his team, the city and to be mentioned among the other owners.
Yeah, he couldn't sent a shout out to his players but its okay. Rather him just continue to lurk in the background. After all, he props his players up, then you have a-holes like nutsack basically equating his comments to supporting woman beating of Harrison, etc...
No comment is good enough...ha.

im suprised at ray ray being one of the smartest players as much as i am randy moss making that list. moss is very very good but he lacks all kinds of intelligence. i was suprised brian westbrook wasnt on the list and i base that purely on that one play he had when the eagles were at dallas and he could of scored an easy td but instead took a knee at the cowgirls one yard line to end the game
I think one of his o-lineman (Runyan?) told him before that play that he should fall down at the one instead of scoring.
You're right Ruthless, it was Runyan.
As for my votes in the various categories?...
Best Owner - Like you have ask :tt2 :tt2 :tt2 Rooney.
Smartest Offensive Player?...Hines :tt2 . But I admit that if Tiki Barber were still around, I'd cast my vote for him.
My vote smartest defensive player would go to Ed Reed, he's almost always in the right place & reads plays well. That isn't meant to diss Troy, I just see Troy as a instigator of action, where Reed sets people up - two different styles, both with great results.
Dirtiest Player?...Rodney Harrison  . I hate the guy & think he should've been suspended more than he has. He goes beyond accepted sportsmanship & then tries to act all choir-boy afterwards (I'm just misunderstood!). I swear, if he makes it the HOF - when Donnie Shell can't get in - I'll never go there again, because that kind of behavior shouldn't be rewarded.
Who didn't see this coming?

I am tempted to go to 1steelers to see Crash frothing at the mouth at a Hines honor.
