None of them won the Superbowl. So what's your point?
his point is a poster stated that there are basically no teams with less than 8 starters over 30 and he proved them wrong and then another poster said they maybe be but wouldnt be any good and he showed 3 made the playoffs..................
quit changing the question and give the guy his due for being right
you asked and he delivered.
Yeah, you're right. No need to continue, your point is proven.
Gee, Kevie, not old? How many key players are over 30 at this point? ........ 8 starters out of 22. Nearing half the starting roster. Colbert is in denial, or at least his public persona is.
Colbert never actually said we are not old.
In fact he said “Sure we have some old players"
He just disagrees that the contention that they all are done.
The Raven just won a SB with an older set of starters than our team:

He gets his due for showing those three teams made the playoffs (good job droid). But what about the Super Bowl winner?
Here is my point: The Ravens were #3 in the NFL for oldest starters. The Steelers were 5th.
Younger doesn't always mean better. It's more about age relative to performance and contract.

The Pats have 7 starters over 30 and two aged 29...
They are SO much younger than the Steelers...

Hampton is no longer on the team

You can find old teams that win the SB (Ravens), and you can find young ones that win the SB. (The Cowboys were the youngest team in the NFL won their 1st SB in their run in the 1990s.) It's not as simple as that. But when you are an old team, you should at least consider trying to get younger as if not, you WILL eventually be too old to contend. Ravens pulled out a W because of a perfect storm of conditions: Ray announced this was his last ride and they got some key players back from injury and Flacco started playing his best football ever. That being said, it is unlikely that Balt will win another ring soon. Colbert has already come out and said it: When you go 12-4 and are winning or contending for SB, you are hesitant to make many personnel changes; but when you go 8-8 with an older team, it is time to make some moves.
Yes. 4 teams out of 32 doesn't prove that the Steelers roster is 'old'.
Steelers are the 5th oldest team. That kind of does prove they are kind of old.
Maybe one or two and they are not usually good teams. Would be interested to look at the Playoff teams and see the age of their starters.
Actually, I'd say the Pats and Seahawks were very good teams. Packers and Vikings were also play off teams. All of them are in the top 7 youngest teams, and none have 8 or more starters over 30.
