Wow, Parker's a class act, at least, that's the image he's projecting. Always knew he was a team player, but, the Steelers draft a guy that will, in all likelihood, replace him in the future and all he's worried about doing is making Mendenhall better, so that, the team is successful.
Hopefully, this attitude translates into wins on the field for the Steelers.

I hope he develops into a Bettis role for us. In the era of free agency, the team concept seems lost at times. I understand that these athletes have a ten year window to reap the benefits of their atypcial salaries, so that they have security for their families. Lord knows there are too many examples of Pro Athletes squandering these coveted opportunities (Latrell Sprewell). But some seem to have the "grass is greener" attitude, leave for those greener pastures and end up having mediocre careers after they leave the Burgh (Chad Brown). Let's hope Willie takes a page out of the Bettis book and stays put where he may be a part of something very special.
