I always loved Favre up until he started the "retirement saga". That really turned me off. I do think his style is the closest of anyone to Big Ben. The guy is a gambler and he is also a winner ... just like Ben.

Carelessness with the ball is the reason for the 86 career passing rating. He was our best player when we played the Vikes last year. I don't know how one rates QBs and "puts ints aside." If you don't take care of the ball, in my book, you are not HOF material. That said, I don't doubt that the writers will vote him into the HOF. I just don't understand the acclaim. The WC offense is SUPPOSED to be a high percentage offense. Eighty damn six is NOT HOF material!!!
Your right, but Career passing touchdowns: 497
Career passing yards: 69,329
is HOF material
When you've been in the league for almost twenty years, it's easy to break records. Puh-lease. However, I do think he's a shoe-in for the HoF, if for no other reason than he managed to do well over such a long period of time.
HOWEVER, that does not change the fact that he's consistently hurt his teams by choking in the big games. And he lost a world of respect from me after he decided to turn his retirement into a circus and treat his former team (Packers) like crap. It was incredibly selfish and inconsiderate. :nono
The 40-year-old Favre called coach Brad Childress to say his injured left ankle is not responding as well to surgery and rehabilitation as he had hoped, according to the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the team had not made an official announcement.
Maybe I'm just assuming the worst (and for good reason), but this appears to be nothing more than a ruse to avoid training camp AGAIN. i won't be surprised if the ankle mysteriously gets better after camp ends.

Good... one less strong team to worry about. VIkes will still be competitive but their other QB's aren't the caliber of Favre. Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels
And the rest of the sports world has come to a complete stop on ESPN.
Hold on 1 sec. My first post in this thread was me saying how fed up i am with Favre, how did i get from that to defending him? :wft lol.
Anyways now it seems it's still up in the air again. I can't begin to tell you guys how upset this makes me. I mean your team is in camp busting their a$$ while your at home with your feet up. Oh and don't blame it on the injury cause he did the same thing last year!!
Still HOF lol
