Re: Okay, so what about Limas - so far?
IMO...Sweed has more potential than Plaxico did coming out of college. Sweed's hands are VERY good. He also knows how to use that huge frame...and can snag jump balls. But, be patient. Bigger WRs take alot longer to adjust to the NFL. The game is coming at him so fast...and injuries really slowed his growth in college. He is a project with unlimited potential. IMO he will be a superb pro but it will take him 2-3 seasons.

Receivers are known as being one of the hardest positions for rookies to make an impact at. Have patience. Look at Roddy White

I don't think that I would say that he has as much potential coming out of college as Plaxico from a pure physical standpoint, but if you also take into account his southern blue collar country boy work ethic vs. Plax's prima donna attitude, I think Limas can certainly bypass Burress' production with the Steelers. Luckily, we don't need him to be a starter from the get-go. He can start the season at #4 WR, and perhaps by mid-season or so, he can get enough pro experience under his belt to move up to #3 WR.

[quote=papillon]He's a rookie, he's going to make mistakes, drop balls, miss blocks and not be on the same page as Ben. We'll be glad he's a Steeler at some point this season. I believe that he's made Washington and Baker better, becuase, they've been playing like two guys that want to make this team.

Pappy - I think you hit the nail on the head here. It will take him time to get ino the same page with Ben but when he does, I think he has displayed some good talent.
Washington will certainly make the team this year, it'll be interesting to see what happens next seasonn with him
Re: Okay, so what about Limas - so far?
He still needs some more seasoning, but he's about where he should be at this point - which is the 4th WR. I expect him to get much better as the season goes along & be a MAJOR threat when we go to the 4-wide packages.
