Actually even if we lose in Greenbay it could still very well be possible to sneak in at 8-8.
Anyway this weekend, there's really one important game for us. Tenessee must lose in Indianapolis. This is very important for us.

Agreed. I think that Tennessee is the team that could do us in.... However, I still say if we win out, we're in. And yes, even at 9-7 we could still win the division as we would have a 4-2 record in the North. Baltimore is gonna lose 2 more.
Now that we know most of the answers, it'll be up to the Steelers to win out on what appears to be a very winnable schedule. If they do that, Miami will be done since we will hold the tie-breaker. It will be up to New England and Detroit to do us a favor against the Ravens.
Still, everything is moot if we don't win out. We lose again this season and we'll be looking at mock draft scenarios instead of the playoffs. Miraculously, we still control our own destiny, to a degree.
Even if we lose to the Packers and finish 8-8 it looks rather positive right now.

I like our chances in GB, considering Aaron Rodgers might be done for the season. We have a lot of variables though- OL now that Velasco is done. I think with a few extra days practice, this Center they just brought in will be ok for us.
I'm in to figuring out all the tie-breakers, etc. but did not know all of that in the article. Thx for posting- interesting.....

I don't like our chances in GB with Aaron Rodgers playing. From what I heard, he might play next week.... and we don't play them for another 3 weeks.
Being reported that the Pack could go ahead and shut Rodgers down for the season if their playoff hopes are done. He may not be on the roster come week 16.

I agree... It wouldn't make sense to bring Rodgers back if they are out of the playoffs...
Our problem is the OL health... stil angry we needed 6 plays to score.

The most reliable way to win out over the Ravens is to simply win out. As I've said before, injuries be damned. The Steelers either have the heart to make the run or not. There ain't much gray area for desire.
Even if it ends up that the Steelers are tied with the Ravens in the end, there's a good chance that the Steelers would still win any potential tie-breakers with the Ravens if they won out. The Ravens would need to win both games v. the NFC North and beat the Patriots to even match criteria #3. The first two criteria would already be out, assuming a Ravens win over the Bengals. The Steelers really need the Patriots to do to the Ravens what they did to them, or, at least win by one, so long as they come out on top of the Ravens.
We'll see. But the Steelers still have a lot of control over their own destiny for the playoffs. For that to happen, however, the Steelers playoff run begins this Sunday at home v. the Dolphins.
