The article itself is just a bit of nothing. Some offseason talk. Of course, the headline gets everyone's panties in a bunch.
So much about performing is going out and doing. You can rehearse all you want, but sometimes you don't know if it's there until your in that situation. He probably had the strength to make most of the throws he was doing day to day. However, when he gets to the end of the game and he's tired, but still adrenalized he probably didn't even realize he didn't have what it takes until it was too late.
And who is at fault for that? Bonehead Ben.
i thought they were suppose to use the denver choke job as motivation last year
That was before the selfish, immature a holes decided to ruin the season. But hey, at least they wore huge smiles as they crushed the city's hopes.
It's not accurate? That's odd because I've seen it with my own two eyes several times throughout Ben's career.... In fact, I think it happened in that must win Cincinnati game. Oh who cares right??? We only lost by 3 points.... OOOooopss. I guess that field goal was pretty important after all.
Thanks Ben!
Throwing the ball away isn't grounding if a player is close by.
Learn the rules. If the QB is in the pocket, and the Referee deems that he threw the ball away to avoid the sack, it's grounding regardless of where his receiver is.
How can Ben "consistently" take sacks on 3rd down, when he's been one of the best QB's on 3rd down during his career?
You mentioned the Bengals game. Now go ahead and list 10 more since we drafted him.
It doesn't happen nearly as much as you think it does.

He has made things happen so often on third down when it didn't look like there would be a play. It wouldn't surprise me if part of what makes successful also bites him in the rear end from time to time.

But he said it consistently happens.
That's just foolish to even suggest it.

Is this Ben's first INT in life? Geez...
Ben threw a pick 6 in Denver in week 1. The DB in that game had his hands on 3 or 4 passes before the INT.
Why can't some of you accept Ben may have just made a bade throw or the DB read his eyes or knew where he was going based on earlier plays?
This isn't directed at you specifically but I get tired of hearing a million excuses for INT's like they aren't part of the game. It happens... and sometimes it his fault, sometimes it's bad luck, sometimes it's the OL or the WR...
It's always something...
Yep...this is called football. It is a violent contact sport. It happens.
I love how several months ago I kept saying this was going to happen. In the off-season we would learn that Ben's injury was more than was led to believe. Certain posters kept bashing Ben over and over and over. Some here (those with common sense), would say that maybe the poor play after he got hurt had something to do with the injury he suffered.
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. Stay thirsty. It's your own misguided self. ;)

cant be. wallace was not going to be distraction. he should have gotten paid 10+ last year because he stretches the field and has put up numbers similiar to jerry rice his first 3 years..........i still laugh at the dolts who ran around saying this.

I don't take it personally. I was merely responding to those saying that if Ben knew his arm wasn't at full strength then why did he even throw in the first place.
It doesn't matter who you think the greatest QB in the history of the game is, the guy threw his share of picks and bad passes he wishes he had back. Like you said- part of the game.

I don't need to list any more. I already listed one, proved you wrong and now you want me to provide you with 10 more examples. lol. I listed a critical game (2nd to last of the season) and play that easily costs us a direct 3 points. We lost and we were out of the playoffs
I could give a damn about the rules because I see QBs week-in and week-out throw the ball away and not get called for intentional grounding even inside the pocket. I've seen Tom Brady throw the ball blatantly into the dirt 5-10 yards in front of his receiver. Everyone watching knows he "threw it away". Is it grounding? No! Why? Because a Patriot was in the vicinity. It's the same way throwing to the sidelines. They won't call it if it's in the vicinity. It's to judgmental for the refs to call.
