I thought we'd be around 500 by the bye and Ben would mop up the back half of the season.
My bad. I meant up to this point.
Eh, looking at our schedule before the start of the year most would predict this team would probably only have 1 more win even if everyone was healthy.
I think I predicted 10-6
Which doesn’t seem possible with these injuries and this offense.
Going into the season I thought the offense would be less, but still potent. I thought the defense would still be bad. I thought we’d have another crappy sept due to tomlin’s habit of starting slow in combination with the quality of our opponents, and I thought we’d finish the season strong. I was comfortable with 10-6 but thought 11-5 or even 12-4 was possible.
Just goes to show how much predictions are worth.

IDK. 5 wins out of bengals, browns, cardinals, bills, jets and ravens isn't exactly murderers row.
4 brutal teams , bills at home and ravens. only game I see as not winnable is the ravens.
I also see us as favorites in all games but the rats too.

Cardinals and Ravens are going to be tough. We should win those other games if we limit stupid turnovers.

September was a manifestation of Ben being injured and put on IR not some devious strategy of Tomlin's. The storyline to this season is the injuries to key players, especially Ben. Unfortunately we didn't have a Teddy Bridgewater sitting in the wings. I still think Rudolph can become a solid QB but he has had little to no supporting cast this season and I think Fichtner's play calling has been terrible.

But looked like it was still possible before the debacle last Thursday.
We're way above my post Ben injury prediction.
Mostly because the D has gotten 3 - 5 turnovers in most of those games (and 2 TDs or is it 3?).
I predict we'll finish at .500 or above ... which might be quite an accomplishment the way our players keep dropping off due to injury

i'm not ignoring the injuries - but we also had a healthy ben against the patriots and half of the seahawks. that alone was 6 pretty sad quarters of offense. We'll never know of course, but I thought WITH a healthy Ben we'd finish sept 1-3. I based that prediction on the fact we lost AB, JuJu was learning a new role, we had no idea who would step up behind him and oh yeah - as usual, Tomlin let Ben sit out every pre-game absent the 12 whole snaps he took in the 3rd game. I thought any vision of him having a rhythm with our receivers out of the gate was absurd.
but just my musings. your mileage may vary.....

This is what I think now too.
But, who knows. If the D plays like they did against the Browns (still very good, but doesn't dominate turnovers, and score TDs) I don't know that the O can be trusted to win anything.
