Really? I had no idea Ben R. came out early. Interesting.
SS Laser: Really? The media was all over him for going back and finishing his degree this past off season?
I do recall that talk about the degree stuff but I think I have heard of some players who were no longer eligible to play that just did not quite finish getting degrees in the past. Being at a college 4 or 5 years does not insure a degree does it? Anyway it could have been some type of advanced degree. That kind of stuff does not interest me.
The only significance that fact has for me is that maybe Ben R. is a year younger than those other heralded QB's he came out with if they did not also come out early.
We do not need the draft qb for another 2-3 years. People need to quit overacting to these things.
You're ignorant if you think we don't need a QB. Yes, Ben is the starter. But no, Ben can't seem to stay healthy. Every game we go in with the two china dolls (Batch and Leftwich), we practically concede defeat. You have two of those games in a year, it's often the difference between making/missing the playoffs. And... Ben's not getting any younger!

Exactly! Also it seems his mistakes are increasing.[and the heroics declining]
There was an article in the paper recently where Ben said he had already begun a conditioning program with the coaches. It is generally thought that Big Ben is not known to be real heavy on that sort of thing. Maybe he is serious about prolonging his career and that could be good news for the team.
This is at least one positive going forward to next season.
Hey btw: Since the Packer game just ended it reminded me that, just think, we could have had that Joe Webb guy. I'm pretty sure he visited here his draft eligible year.:D Unfortunately, that game also reminded me that the GB Offensive Coordinator was available for a while last year.
