What a concept. Trading a player and getting something back versus just cutting.
They moved him for peanuts. Without AB, there would be no SB ring for the Ravens last season. I guess Jon feels he won't likely win another one next year so give his bro a shot at it? Maybe subconsciously? This is a pretty odd move.

To be fair, a 6th round pick is virtually nothing.
Joe just went from being a $20M QB to another scrub. He'd better pray that the team finds him a replacement fast.

It's potentially Antonio Brown!

So should we trade down out of the first to stockpile 6th rounders? It is also potentially Tom Brady, but I would not want to stake a career on trading for 6th rounders.
FWIW the Ravens got less for Boldin than the Steelers got for Santonio.

Yes, that is the EXCEPTION to the RULE. How many 6th round picks ever work out for Pgh? Barely any.
Flacco has one less receiver to rely on and center Matt Burk retired. He's not worried though with that brinks truck contract he got, he's set for life even if he only played a few years.

I'll take a chance on an extra six round pick versus the big nothing we just got for Harrison. I'll guarantee you that there is a 100% chance that "nothing" never plays a game in the NFL.
