Flacco had great protection thru the playoffs. He has receivers that can get the ball for him, we dont.
Both Boldin's TD catches yesterday were Flacco lofting it up and Bolding jumping over the DB and just taking the ball away. Unless we plan on spreading teams out and going up tempo, its time to move away from the 5'11" 195lb WR's and get into the 6'3" 225lb freaks.

If we plan on running Haleys offense we need bigger WR's... I've seen Flacco throw some tear drops and Boldin didn't have to jump, he simply used his body to fend off the DB.

I really don't think half these guys care about a rivalry.

We need leaders..particularly on offense.
Pouncey, Ben, Miller, etc are not leaders. All are great players... they just aren't leaders. This past year, we missed Hines Ward because of the intangibles he brought to the table. I thought Ben would fill that void but he didn't. He was to busy continuously crying about Haley's offense.

I'm pretty sure the Ravens entire offensive game plan is to have Flacco heave it as far as he can and hope Smith or Boldin comes down with it, if not that, a pass interference. Sadly, in todays NFL that's a great game plan.
Oh, and get the ball to Ray Rice. That guy would look good in the black and gold.

I agree. While we might have "silent" leaders, guys that lead by example and not words, it doesnt appear that we have VOCAL leaders.

that kid from Temple #30 isn't half bad either... Rice had 2 fumbles in the Colts game and the rookie came in and they didn't miss a beat.
I guess what irks me the most is the lack of fire and focus. Baltimore played through a large assortment of injuries as well, but they just WANTED it more. It showed in their effort, sure they're not perfect, but they WANTED it and they went out and played like they wanted it.
That's because they had unity and chemistry; Pgh most certainly did not. Why? My guess is malcontent Wallace and Mendenhall and Ben being a whiny baby about the offense. If Ben doesn't knock off his whining, we are going to have a repeat of 2012 next year.

There is something to say for the leadership void after Ward, Aaron Smith and Farrior departed, along with losing a solid locker room guy like Hoke.
Pouncey has shown that he can't even lead his college teammates, with Gilbert having conditioning problems and problems with focus and Rainey having his issues.
