Eye on the Enemy: Jurevicius to start season on PUP

Cleveland Browns veteran receiver Joe Jurevicius likely will start the 2008 season on the physically unable to perform list.
In an interview Thursday morning with Cleveland radio station WTAM, Browns general manager Phil Savage said Jurevicius' most recent knee surgery performed on June 30 will cause him to miss extended time. If he is placed on the PUP list, Jurevicius will have to sit out the first six weeks of the regular season.
Although the Browns are confirming only two surgeries, the procedure was at least the third performed on Jurevicius' knee in the past seven months after he contracted a staph infection following his initial surgery.
"It's been pretty frustrating for everybody because this started as an innocent knee scope back in January, and it's morphed itself into multiple procedures," Savage said in the radio interview Thursday. "Obviously every time he's taken a step forward, it's been two steps back. So it's a bit up in the air right now … He's going to be looked at again obviously next week before we get started and probably will start on that PUP list."
Jurevicius, 33, had one of the best seasons of his career in 2007. He played in all 16 games for the Browns and caught 50 passes for 614 yards and three touchdowns.
The Cleveland native signed a four-year contract with the Browns in 2006 but said he plans to retire after this season. He wanted to come back for one more year to see if he could help lead his hometown team to the postseason.

For as much as I dislike the Browns, Jurevicius is a stand-up individual. I hope he can pull through & play later in the season.

Okay, the Jig is up! :nono
First, I post the Matt Jones story on the "NFL Talk" section, and 20 minutes later, you post the same thing on the "General Discussion" section. I get no responses, you get 9.
Then, I post the Gang Signals story on the "NFL Talk" section, and later that same day, you post the same thing on the "Steelers Talk" section. I get no responses, you get 20.
Now, I post the Jurevicius story on the "Trash Talk" section today, and then you post the same thing on the "Steelers Talk" section. I finally get a response, but it is from a Bungal troll who also wants to make fun of the Stains and their staph infections.
Usually, you can just call out somebody with a link that shows you that their new post is a repeat, but since my original posts tend to be deserted areas while your repeat posts are well populated, that would look kind of silly, wouldn't it?
The lesson...as always...nobody reads the "NFL Talk" section, apparently, and only trolls and troll-baiters inhabit the "Trash Talk" section. I should probably stick to the "Steelers Talk" and "General Discussion" boards for any and all breaking news, I suppose.
Since I don't expect anyone else to respond to my earlier post about Jurevicius anymore, and I expect your new thread to take off here, I will add my input here:
I don't know what is worse now, the depth at CB or the depth at WR.
At corner (after trading Leigh Bodden and losing Davin Holly to injury), they only have Jereme Perry, A.J. Davis, Gerard Lawson, Darnell Terrell, and Terry Cousin behind young starters Eric Wright and Brandon McDonald.
At WR (after this Jurevicius injury), they only have Syndric Steptoe, Travis Wilson, Steve Sanders, Paul Hubbard, and return specialist Joshua Cribbs behind starters Braylon Edwards and Donte Stallworth (and Donte only put up 46-697-3 in perhaps the greatest passing offense the NFL has ever seen last year).
You are now officially the Biff to my McFly!!! Now I'll make like a tree...and get outta here

Maybe people just like me better than you.

It's much more convenient to find stuff here. I really don't venture over to the trash
talk section all that much and I don't see a need for the Around the NFL forum when it's
much easier to post news in the Steelers forum. Maybe that's just me being lazy.
However, I apologize for stealing your replies and offer this picture of a grown man
in an Optimus Prime costume in hopes of restoring peace.

I expected you to end your post with a good joke. Something like, "it's not even
August yet and there's already a Dawg on the pup list.

I finally visited Ruthless's thread in the trash talk section to give him a sympathy post
and realized that MJG's post was in fact a very clever joke.

If you had given me a picture of 3 adults in Transformers costumes, I might have considered forgiving you.

MJG? Clever? You mean like how his username is a clever little play-on-words off of Mean Joe Greene? You call that clever? The next thing you know, some loser will try to come up with a lame play-on-words based on our current QB's last name and make that his username.
