My concerns are his 18 missed tackles and -5.9 grade against the run.

He is a punishing tackler. Nice pick up.
5 yr 25 million deal
I like this signing a lot. Now go after an ILB to replace Foote and I'm ecstatic....
Excellent signing. Upside, starting ability & an instant upgrade.
And at 27, takes away the need to draft a FS.
Between he and Will Allen, I am feeling good about FS right now.
Wow. I don't know about you all, but I didn't see this coming. Nice to see this kind of hushed up work by the front office. Nice signing.

Brandon Spikes? Wonder if he is cheap--he has character flaws, but, is a gamer
I generally like this move. With FS set, the Steelers have eliminated one of the needs from their board.
The contract for Mitchell is a bit high for my taste, especially considering that TJ Ward signed for less than $6 million / year, but from what I've read on Mitchell, his style will fit well in Pittsburgh.
Here is what Panthers fans had to say, for what it's worth:

yes, he will fit in well in Pittsburgh

Does that seem a bit high? I thought Malcom Jenkins would come cheaper. That's a decent chunk of change.
