You could structure a cap friendly deal. I'm not sure how much room the Steelers have but if they want him bad enough they could make it happen.
the Steelers reportedly are approximately $6 million under the salary cap right now...

Hmmm...I'm not a cap guru but I would think something could be done with that.

Flowers wants to come to Pittsburgh so him & Haley can hang out at Lil Wayne Concerts. It's only a matter of time. Flower's Moma is telling Brandon to play for the Steelers because Todd is there.

On a serious note...If the price is right...Why not. Makes them better. The CB spot would look a whole lot better beyond 2014 with Flowers in the mix if the get him at a multi year.
you make it sound as if you know for a fact Ike would be opposed to signing a new 1-year deal next year... you got some scoop the rest of us don't?
Considering his drop off in play last year, and that he signed just a 1 year deal, I am assuming the rest. If he bounces back and improves this season, then, who knows.

The Ravens were also mentioned as a team showing some interest in Flowers, but they just signed two other veteran NFL corners instead...Aaron Ross and Dominique Franks.

there is absolutely no need to sign this guy.
rave reviews are coming out of otas that allen, gay and blake are awesome.
the fans say richardson was a steal.
the steelers were confident in these guys that hey didnt address the cb position until round 5
there is absolutely need need to sign this guy.
is that double the need?

Source: Flowers has no plans to visit
By Scott Brown | June 20, 2014 2:05:32 PM PDT
PITTSBURGH -- Brandon Flowers left San Diego without a contract but the free-agent cornerback is not headed to Pittsburgh.
Flowers has no plans to visit the Steelers, according to a source, despite the latter’s reported interest in him. Flowers met with the Chargers earlier this week but the two sides did not agree to a deal before the end of his visit.

Cornerback Brandon Flowers left his visit with the Chargers without a contract for the 2014 season and indicated that he would visit with at least one more team before deciding where to continue his career after getting released by the Chiefs.
It doesn’t look like that visit will be with the Steelers. Scott Brown of ESPN.com reports that there are no plans for the Steelers to host Flowers despite reports of interest in bringing the veteran corner on board. The Steelers haven’t commented specifically on Flowers, but coach Mike Tomlin said the team isn’t closing any doors.
“I’m not opposed to anything that will increase our chances of winning. We’re open to all possibilities,” Tomlin said.
Cortez Allen and Ike Taylor are projected to be the starting corners in Pittsburgh this season with William Gay, Brice McCain, fifth-round pick Shaquille Richardson and others in the mix behind them. The Lions, Ravens, Falcons and Vikings have all been mentioned as other potential landing spots for Flowers since he parted ways with the Chiefs, although subsequent reports have pulled the Falcons and Vikings out of the hunt.
