Capizzi on the OL
Does this guy have a chance? Is anyone at camp seeing anything to be excited about? If he could develop over the next yearhe could be a real help at RT.

Re: Capizzi on the OL
Ov,
Capizzi was decent in TC last summer IIRC. I was excited when we reclaimed him from the Chiefs in January. I think he can make this team just based on the tackle contract issues facing this team next season.

Re: Capizzi on the OL
It looks like, in terms of OT's, they are going to keep Marvel, Max, Colon, and even Essex (due to his versatility, since they plugged him as the 1st team LG with Kemo on the PUP). If they wanted to keep Capizzi too, they would need to cut their 4th round pick Tony Hills (I think the only 4th rounders that we cut as rookies coming out of camp in the past decade or so were WR's Fred Gibson and Danny Farmer). Hills hasn't looked great so far, but do you want to risk exposing your 4th round pick, hoping that no one else claims him and you could get him on your practice squad (especially when 3 of your veteran OT's will have their contracts expire at the end of the season)?

Or, he could be cut today. Looks like a foot injury did him in. Oh well. :HeadBanger
