Bud really developed the last 2 seasons. I hope there is a way we can sign him long term. Highsmith didn't look terrible (he did crash down on the QB bootleg) but he isn't even in Bud's zip-code as far as talent is concerned.

Defense hasn't been at the same level; that's for sure.

Maybe not the MVP, but certainly very important (I'd say Watt is more important for example).

But I think the offense did well because we got so many turnovers.

And we got so many turnovers because we were getting elite pressure (3rd year or 4th? in a row).

And the pressure isn't as good with Highsmith instead of Bud.

bad for us, good for Bud.

People shrugged at Bud staying like he was good but expendable. I think these last few games show how important it is to have 2 beast at OLB.

Don’t put me in that category. I knew it was trouble when Bud went down. Not having him out there lets offenses game plan versus Watt by sliding protection to his side. Highsmith has been a non-factor.
